Presshouse Berlin is conceived as an open campus dedicated to independent journalism, free expression, and public dialogue. Located adjacent to the Springer Publishing House in Berlin, the project establishes a contemporary platform where journalists, photo reporters, researchers, and the public can meet, collaborate, and exchange ideas.

The design promotes transparency, accessibility, and interaction by combining workspaces, exhibition areas, event venues, and shared public spaces within a cohesive architectural environment. Rather than functioning as a conventional office building, Presshouse is envisioned as a civic institution that supports the values of a free press while encouraging knowledge sharing, cultural engagement, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Developed as part of a Master's design studio at DIA Hochschule Anhalt, the project explores the role of architecture in strengthening democratic discourse by creating spaces that foster openness, creativity, and meaningful public engagement.
